Rising energy costs make car wash owners look for savings. See solutions that help cut expenses without lowering the quality of service for customers.
In response to rising energy prices and the search for further savings at car washes, we present solutions that can significantly reduce operating costs.
A system for switching chemicals from powder to liquid
In response to rising energy prices and the search for further savings, we have developed a system that allows the chemicals used in the main wash programme to be switched. In practice, this lets the car wash run on powder in summer and on liquid in winter, or the other way round. With such a system, you save thanks to the lower operating costs of liquid chemicals in winter, as they do not require the water to be heated to such high temperatures as powder does.
Smart floor heating management system
Smart Heating is a solution for automatic control of floor heating in BKF car washes. Used in winter, it can save up to 30% of energy costs.
Smart Heating also offers an economy mode. In winter, at sub-zero temperatures and especially at night, e.g. between 23:00 and 6:00, switching on the economy mode automatically reduces the heating parameters overnight. The system switches back to normal operation the next day.
Low-pressure waxing
In BKF car washes, every programme – including waxing – can be switched from high pressure to low pressure. Switching saves water, gas and chemicals.
As standard, BKF car washes use two-speed motors. If you have a pre-wash or rim spray programme, low pressure is supported. In that case you can change the waxing pressure yourself on the car wash controller.
Before you do so, however, make sure that the chemicals you use can also be used with cold water. Our SKY WAX is one of them and is safe for the installation in all conditions.
Switching the car wash off at night
According to our analyses, switching the car wash off at night has almost no effect on revenue, while significantly reducing costs. Traffic analyses in the Carwash Manager system clearly show that between 23:00 and 6:00 usually only a few customers use the car wash.
Assuming the car wash is switched off for 6–7 hours, the electricity savings can amount to anything from a few thousand to well over ten thousand PLN a year (based on energy prices in Poland). Switching the car wash off at night is particularly important in winter, when the cost of heating water at the car wash is highest.
The BKF car wash software lets you set the opening hours freely to suit your needs. Every car wash owner can do this themselves, remotely, without having to be at the car wash.
